This year’s final Superbike rounds in Indonesia and Australia will be the last time we see the starting grid open to umbrella girls. As far as we understand, the championship sponsors are seeking to find alternative forms of advertising, but there will still be umbrella girls alongside the various riders, at the discretion of the various teams that can decide whether to hire them or not.

Not a revolution in the production-derived world then, but rather an update to the tradition. There will still be girls on the podium and in parc fermé when it comes to Superpole, as always, to welcome the fastest riders.
